Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) recently released the result for preliminary examination which was conducted for Officer Scale I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) posts. The exams were conducted separately for the two posts in September.

New Delhi: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) recently released the result for preliminary examination which was conducted for Officer Scale I and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) posts. The exams were conducted separately for the two posts in September. The results were also released separately for the two posts at an interval of three days. Now that the results are out, the next step in the selection process is Main examination. The Main examination for Officer Scale I and Office Assistant posts will be held in November.

The admit cards for the Main examination are expected to be available for download by the end of October. The Main exam for Officer Scale I will be conducted on November 5, 2017 and the main exam for Office Assistant will be conducted on November 12, 2017. 

Apart from the main examination, IBPS will also conduct single level examination for Officer Scale II and Officer Scale III posts. The single level examination will also be conducted on November 5, 2017. 

Exam Pattern for IBPS RRB Main/ Single Level Examination

The exam will be objective in nature and will be conducted online. For Officer Scale I and Office Assistant posts the main examination will have 200 questions each and will be of 2 hours duration. The question paper will have the following sections - Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, General Awareness, English Language, Hindi Language, and Computer Knowledge. Candidates would have the option to answer questions from either English Language section or Hindi Language section.

For Officer Scale II, the exam pattern is different for those who will appear for General banking post and for Specialist officer post. The detailed pattern for both Officer Scale II and III is given below:

With just about 20-25 days left for the exam, candidates should begin their preparation for the exam in accordance with the pattern explained above.
