ISRO Recruitment 2017 For Apprentices, Apply Now

Space Applications Centre (SAC), Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has begun online application process for graduate and technician apprentice posts. The recruitment is open for candidates 'who have Degree/ Diploma from a recognized University / Board coming under Western Region of Board of Apprenticeship Training (Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh & Diu & Daman (UTs).' Graduates and diploma candidates, obtained in and after January 2015, are eligible to apply. The upper age limit for applicants is 35 years (age relaxation norms for candidates belonging to reserved categories can be found from the official notification available at sac.gov.in).
'The period of training will be one year and apprentices engaged will be registered under Apprentice Act, 1961. Those who have undergone/are undergoing Apprenticeship training or have job experience for a period of one year or more as on the date of joining as Apprentice are not eligible to be considered for the above Apprenticeship training.'
Those who have obtained the degree/ diploma through private mode are not eligible to apply. 'Sandwich course, private degree/diploma, short term courses, degree/ diploma in other disciplines/ areas, candidates pursuing higher studies (B.E./ B.Tech in case of Diploma holders & M.E/ M.Tech in case of Graduates) etc. need not apply. Result awaited cases will not be considered,' mentions the official notification about the eligibility.
The last date to submit application is 15 December 2017.
For Scientist/ Engineer ‘SC’ recruitment ISRO will conduct the written test on 17 December. The exam will be held at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram. ISRO is likely to release the admit cards for the same within second week of December 2017.
