NHAI Aims To Generate 'Seasonal' Employment Over Next Four Years
National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), with a total of 282 projects, is all set to generate seasonal employment in the country for not less than four years. 'This would be averaging to nearly 12.5 crore man-days yearly from 2018-2022. Of this, about 1.0 crore will be professional man-days, 3.5 crore skilled labour man-days and 8.0 crore semi-skilled and un-skilled man days. NHAI targets to construct 50000 kilometre highways in the coming 4 years,'said a statement from the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. The employment opportunities, thus generated will provide immense benefits to qualified professionals, skilled and semi skilled work force.
Many other recruitment are open in NHAI for the posts of Manager, Site Engineer and Interns. Details of the jobs are available at the official website of the authority at nhai.org.
In order to be eligible for an internship, applicants need to have obtained 70% or more in the previous semester examinations without any backlogs. Those in the final year or pre final year or semester of the course can apply. Candidates should note that the internship can be applied for only once in the academic career.
It should be noted that, the above mentioned recruitment process is not related to the employment opportunities to be generated for the projects in 2018-2022.
