New Delhi: National Institute of Technology, Patna (NIT Patna) has invited applications from Indian nationals for the post of Assistant Professor (on contract), Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor under 4- tier flexible faculty structure in the different departments of the Institute.

The completed application form along with Demand Draft of Rs 600/- for General and OBC Candidates and Rs 300/- for SC,ST and PwD Candidates as application fee (non-refundable) in favour of "NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY PATNA" payable at Patna should reach the Director, NIT Patna, Ashok Rajpath, Patna-800005 by 31st January, 2017. The institute will not be responsible for any postal loss or delay, said the NIT Patna Recruitment notification.
NIT Patna Recruitment notification also said that Institute reserves right to call persons for interview for suitable positions even though they do not apply for advertised posts.

Pay Structure

NIT Patna Recruitment notification has given the details of pay structure for the posts of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor as follows:

Assistant Professor (On contract): PB-3(Rs 15,600-39,100/-) with Academic Grade Pay of Rs 6000/- + 07 additional non-compounded increments.
Assistant Professor: PB-3 (Rs 15,600-39,100/-) with Academic Grade Pay of Rs 8000/-.
Associate Professor: PB- 4 (Rs 37,400-67,000/-) with Academic Grade Pay of Rs 9,500/-.
Professor: PB- 4 (Rs 37,400-67,000/-) with Academic Grade Pay of Rs 10,500/
