New Delhi: State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT), Punjab has invited application for Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2017. SCERT, Punjab invited applications for PSTET - I & PSTET - II 2017 to be conducted on December 31, 2017 (Sunday) for those who want to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to V and VI to VIII. Eligible candidates can apply online only on www.educationrecruitmentboard.com. PSTET or Punjab TET online registration process starts on December 19 and ends on December 26.

For applying for PSTET 2017, the candidates should deposit fee (through Challan), for General/ B.C. category, the fee would be Rs. 600/, while SC/ST category and differently-abled candidates should pay Rs. 300. For ex-serviceman there is no fee. The PSTET 2017 fee should be submitted between December 22, 2017 to December 27, 2017.

Note this:

Candidates appearing in the final year of qualifying exam (D.EL.Ed. / E.T.T.) B.Ed. or equivalent qualification as mentioned in NCTE guidelines) are also eligible for appearing in PSTET.

Qualifying the PSTET would be only one of the eligibility criteria for the appointment.

No claim shall be made for selection only on the basis of marks obtained in PSTET Exam.

For recruitment/selection, separate subject test will be conducted separately for primary and upper primary class teachers.
