RBI Recruitment 2017 For Assistant Post, Check Dates, Exam Pattern, Syllabus, Other Details

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has invited applications from candidates with Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) for recruitment to 623 posts of Assistant. Online registration for recruitment to various offices of the Bank has begun and will continue till 10 November 2017. Applicants must be in the age group of 20 and 28 years. 'Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/10/1989 and not later than 01/10/1997 (both days including) are only eligible to apply, reads the official notification.
‘A candidate belonging to Ex-servicemen category (except dependents of ex-servicemen) should either be a graduate from a recognized University or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination of the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of defence service. Candidates applying for post in a particular recruiting office should be proficient in the language (i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state/ any of the states falling under the recruiting office,’ reads the official notification.
RBI Assistant Recruitment 2017: Preliminary Exam Will Be Held In November Selection ProcessRBI will conduct competitive examination in two phases (prelims and mains). This will be followed by the language proficiency test (LPT). The preliminary exam will be held on 27 and 28 November and the main exam will be held on 20 December. However, in case there's any change in the exam date, candidates will be intimated through an official update at rbi.org.in.
Prelims will be for one hour and will consist of questions from English language, numerical ability and reasoning ability. The main exam will be of 2 hours 25 minutes and will comprise of questions from reasoning, English language, numerical ability, general awareness and computer knowledge.
