New Delhi:

Indian Railways has released admit cards for RRB Group C (Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician posts) exam. The computer based test (CBT) will begin on August 9. There will be two CBTs for the posts and those candidates who have applied for the Assistant Loco Pilot post shall have to appear for computer based aptitude test as well. For the second stage CBT, RRBs will select candidates 15 times the number of vacancies available for that RRB. In the first stage CBT for every wrong answer, one-third of the total marks will be deducted.

Electronic gadgets, pen/ pencil are not allowed inside the exam hall. 'Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones etc. to the venue of the examination, as arrangements for safe keeping cannot be assured,' says an official statement from the Railways.

Candidates can download the first stage CBT admit cards from any of the RRBs, irrespective of which RRB they have applied for. However for the second stage CBT they have to download the admit cards from the respective website of RRB for which they have applied.

RRB Scores
RRBs will share the scores obtained by candidates with other Ministries/ Departments/ Public Sector Undertakings and Private organizations, for recruitment in their organizations. However scores of only those candidates who have opted for the same while filling the online application form will be shared with other recruiting bodies. In July 2017, major organisations like UPSC, SSC were asked by the government to share the scores of candidates taking competitive exams. "Now, it has been decided that all the recruitment agencies viz. UPSC, Staff Selection Commission, RRB etc. will use National Career Service or NCS portal of Ministry of Labour and Employment for disclosures of scores and rankings of the candidates," the order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) said, then.

Fee Refund
Candidates belonging to SC / ST / Ex-Serviceman / PWDs / Female / Transgender / Minorities / Economically backward class categories will get a refund of the exam fees, only if they appear for the first stage CBT. The decision came in February immediately after there was a huge uproar on the 'four times' hike in RRB exam fees. The exam fee of Rs 250 will be refunded to the candidates through online payment mode. Candidates who have paid Rs 500 shall be refunded Rs 400, if they appear for the exam.
