RRB NTPC Exam (3rd Phase) City, Date Details Today: Live Updates

The schedule of the next slot of RRB NTPC exam has been released. The railway recruitment boards (RRB) have notified that the exam for selection to non-technical popular categories (NTPC) for the third batch of candidates will be held from January 31 to February 12.

The schedule of the next slot of RRB NTPC exam has been released. The railway recruitment boards (RRB) have notified that the exam for selection to non-technical popular categories (NTPC) for the third batch of candidates will be held from January 31 to February 12. Approximately, 28 lakh candidates will sit for the exam, the RRBs have said regarding the NTPC exam.

Candidates whose exam is scheduled in the third phase will be intimated exam city and date today. The exam city details will be released at 9 pm. "For the candidates scheduled in this phase, the LINK for viewing the Exam City & Date and downloading of Free Travelling Authority for SC/ST candidates will be made available on all RRB websites on 21.01.2021 at 9.00 PM," the RRBs have said.

RRB NTPC exam: After the completion of this exam, RRB group D exam will begin
The exam for selection of candidates to group D posts will commence after the completion of the NTPC exam. As per the details shared by the RRBs, the NTPC exam is likely to be held till March 2021.

For the RRB Group D exam, a total of 1,15,67,248 applications have been registered against 1,03,769 vacancies.

RRB NTPC exam: Admit cards will be released 4 days prior to the exam
While candidates will be informed about the city and date in which they have been scheduled to appear for the exam, the admit cards will be released 4 days prior to the exam. Candidates have to download the RRB NTPC admit card from the website and carry it to the centre on the exam day.

RRB NTPC exam: Biometric, photo capture at exam centre
At the exam centre, from main gate to exam lab crowd management protocol is being followed. The RRBs have said that "biometric and photo of the candidate will be captured before the exam and boards will implement CCTV surveillance and real-time command center monitoring at centres."

The RRBs will check the body temperature of candidates at the exam centre. Candidates having temperature more than the prescribed limit will not be allowed inside the exam venue, the RRBs have said and have added that intimation regarding this will be sent to candidates and exam will be rescheduled for these candidates.

Candidates should carry one color photograph (of size 35 mm x 45 mm) which was uploaded in the application, for appearing in the test. RRBs have asked candidates to write a paragraph of self-declaration on the admit card. For this purpose, a blank space will be available in the admit card.

RRB NTPC exam: Know about self declaration paragraph
The RRBs have asked candidates to write a paragraph of self-declaration on the admit card. For this purpose, a blank space will be available in the admit card. "Candidates should leave blank spaces provided in the downloaded e-Call letter for writing self-declaration paragraph (as the paragraph will be displayed on the screen during CBT), signature and Left Thumb Impression (LTI) unfilled while coming for the exam," RRBs have said in the official exam notice.

RRB NTPC exam: Over 1.26 crore candidates have registered for the exam
Over 1.26 crore candidates have registered for the RRB NTPC exam which was notified in February 2019. The exam is being held in batches. So far, the exam for one batch is over. The exam for the second batch is underway. The exam for third batch will begin on January 31.

RRB NTPC exam: Free Travelling Authority for SC/ST candidates
Along with the details of city and date, the RRBs will also give free travelling authority for SC/ST candidates. "Necessary intimation is also being sent to all those candidates scheduled in the 3rd phase to their E-mail and Mobile numbers given in their online application," the RRBs have said.

RRB NTPC exam: Other cases where exam fee will be refunded
In addition to the other criteria, in case the vacancies are cancelled the fee of those candidates will be returned who have appeared for the exam. "The Railway Administration also reserves the right to cancel the notified vacancies at any stage at its discretion and such decision will be final and binding on all. In the event of cancellation of notified vacancies, the examination fee paid by the candidates will not be refunded except for candidates who have attended the 1st Stage CBT," reads the job notification.

RRB NTPC exam: Exam fee refund
As per the official exam notification released by the railway recruitment boards (RRB), candidates who appear for the RRB NTPC exam will get a refund on the fee which they had deposited along with the application form.

Female candidates and those belonging to third gender, Ex-Servicemen, SC, ST, minority and economically backward class will get a complete refund on the fee. These candidates have paid ₹ 250 as application fee. Other candidates, who have paid ₹ 500 will get refund of ₹ 400 on appearing in the exam.

RRB NTPC exam: COVID-19 protocols being followed at exam centres
At the exam centre, before entering the exam hall the body temperature of candidates will be checked. Candidates whose body temperature is more than the prescribed limit will not be allowed to sit in the exam with other candidates. However, for these candidates the RRBs will schedule the exam another day.

In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, the railway recruitment boards or the RRBs have asked candidates to submit a self-declaration form on the exam day before the test begins. The RRBs have said that the candidates have to produce COVID-19 self-declaration in the prescribed format at the entry and in absence of the same the candidate will not be allowed to sit in the exam.
