New Delhi: State Bank of India completed the preliminary exam for the first few batches who had applied for the post of Probationary Officer on April 29 and 30. The exam was conducted in online mode and was of one hour duration. Preliminary examination is in a way qualifying examination. The bank sets cut off marks for Preliminary exam and candidates who score marks equal to or more than the cutoff marks are then called for the SBI PO Main exam. In this article we will discuss the difficulty level, pattern and projected cutoff score for SBI PO preliminary exam.
SBI had published the recruitment notification for Probationary Officers in February this year. The Preliminary exam scheduled for April 29 and 30 is over. Now, the preliminary exam to be held on May 6 and 7 remains. The exam followed similar pattern and difficulty levels both days. Read on for detailed analysis.
Exam pattern: Candidates had one hour to complete the exam. There were three sections- Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, and English Language. There were 30 questions in English language section and 35 questions each in the rest of the two sections.
Overall Difficulty Level: Overall the question paper was easy to moderate which means, the cut off this year may be high.
Sectional difficulty level: Each section was again easy to moderately difficult.
Good attempt: 13-16 correct answers in English Language section can be considered good attempt. In case of Reasoning Ability 19-22 correct attempts can be considered a good attempt and for Quantitative Aptitude 21-23 correct attempts can be considered a good attempt.
Cut off: Candidates appearing for SBI PO Preliminary exam need to score overall and sectional cutoff. As per the cut offs set last year and this year's paper pattern and difficulty level, our prediction for cut off score is as given below:
