SEBI Grade A (Assistant Manager) Recruitment 2018: Capital markets regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has announced recruitment of Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) in various streams. The officer recruitment will be done to General Stream, Legal Stream, Information Technology Stream and Engineering Stream. In an advance intimation of recruitment, SEBI said the detailed advertisement and the application link will be activated on September 15, 2018 on the official website of the Board. Applications will be accepted only through the on-line link which will be put up on the SEBI website. No other form of application will be considered, said the SEBI intimation.
The detailed recruitment advertisement will be published on sebi.gov.in.
SEBI is a statutory regulatory body established by an Act of Parliament, to protect the interests of investors in securities, to promote the development of and to regulate the securities market.
It plans to recruit:
84 officers in general stream;
18 officers in legal;
8 officers in information technology;
5 officers in civil engineering and
5 officers electrical engineering streams.
SEBI reserves the right to fill up the posts or not to fill up the posts at all, said the SEBI statement
"Candidates who have appeared for their final examination and waiting for their results are eligible to appear for the selection process, however offer to join the Board will be subject to production of necessary documents evidencing successfully obtaining the requisite qualification," the intimation from the Board said.
A candidate must not have exceeded the age of 30 years as on August 31, 2018 i.e., the candidate must have been born on or after September 01, 1988.Relaxation in age limits will be given as per applicable rules.
Selection will be carried out in three phases. Phase I will be an on-line examination consisting of Multiple Choice Questions on General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Test of Reasoning and Awareness of Securities Market. Candidates shortlisted in Phase I will appear for Phase II, which will also be an on-line examination consisting of three papers. Candidates shortlisted in Phase II will be called for an Interview.
Currently, the regulator has nearly 800 employees including deputation and contract.
