SSC CGL 2017: Online Registration To Close Tomorrow, Apply Now At Ssc.nic.in

New Delhi: With the last day for SSC CGL 2017 online registration being today, aspirants are suggested to apply right away. The online registration portal will remain active till 1700 hours of 16 June 2017. Applicants have to fill the form with utmost care and should therefore not wait for the last minute. The registration process has been open since a month (16 May 2017). 'Candidate should supply all the required details while filling up the online form. Mandatory fields are marked with * (asterisk) sign,' reads the official notification.

Official web portal of the Commission has slowed down; and this is a quite common scenario during the last days of the registration process. Applicants are suggested not to panic and refresh the website regularly. Try filling the application form during the off peak hours.

Candidates who opt for paying the fee in cash can do so till 19 June. However the challan for the same must be generated before the deadline.


SSC CGL 2017: Major changes implemented by the Commission, this year


This year, the Commission has added 7 new exam cities to the list. This includes: Berhampore (Odisha), Bharatpur (Rajasthan), Vijaywada (Andhra Pradesh), Nizamabad (Telangana), Warangal (Telangana), Ahmednagar and Alibaug (both in Maharashtra).

Immediately after releasing the main exam notice for SSC CGL 2017, the Commission issued another corrigendum specifying about the change in the age limit of certain posts. This includes Inspector (Central Excise), Inspector (Preventive Officer), Inspector (Examiner) under CBEC and Inspector post under Department of Post.

The Commission has changed the upper age limit to 30 years for these posts. While for all jobs with codes K, L and M the age limit should be read as 'not exceeding 30 years', for Inspector post (Department of Post) the age limit can be read as '18-30 years.'
