Staff Selection Committee (SSC) held a review meeting about the situation arising out of the coronavirus pandemic and resultant lockdown. At the meeting, the Commission arrived at decisions about the pending and postponed recruitment examinations. SSC holds recruitment examinations like CHSL, CGL, etc. for vacancies available with various government departments and ministries.
In view of the prevailing lockdown restrictions, including social distancing norms, SSC had decided that dates for all examinations, where candidates are required to travel from all parts of the country, will be reviewed from time to time.
The Commission will take a decision on the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination (Tier-I) 2019 after the lockdown period is over. Similarly decision regarding Junior Engineer (Paper-I) Examination, 2019, Stenographer Grade 'C' & 'D' Examination, 2019 and Skill Test for Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination, 2018 will also be taken after May 3, 2020.

The rescheduled dates for these examinations will be notified on the Commission's official website, 'ssc.nic.in', and on the websites of its Regional / Sub-Regional Offices of the Commission.
SSC will also review the annual calendar of examination in respect of the schedules of other examinations.
The Commission has also decided to contribute one day's salary of all Officers and Staff Members to the PM's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situation Fund (PM CARES Fund).
