TNPSC Combined Engineering Services Exam In February, Official Notification Out

New Delhi: Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) will conduct Combined Engineering Services Examination in February 2018. Official notification for the same has been released by the Commission at tnpsc.gov.in. Online registration portal will be open till 16 December 2017 and candidates shall have to deposit their fees till 19 December. The written exam will comprise of two papers: paper 1 (subject paper) and paper 2 (general studies). While there is no age limit for candidates belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all Castes; it is 30 years for others.

The recruitment will be 130 vacancies in the posts of Assistant Director of Industrial Safety and Health (Formerly known as Assistant Inspector of Factories), Junior Electrical Inspector, Assistant Engineer (Agricultural Engineering) and Assistant Engineer.

In order to be eligible, candidates must have a degree in the relevant engineering discipline.

'The qualification prescribed for these posts should have been obtained by passing the required qualification in the order of studies, viz., 10th + HSC or its equivalent + Bachelor's Degree + PG Degree from the recognised Institutions as required under Section 25 of Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016. (Results of the examination should have been declared and practical Training if any should have been acquired on or before the date of notification),' says TNPSC.
