UPPCL Office Assistant, Stenographer Recruitment Details Modified, Vacancy Slashed By 5%

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has made important changes in the recruitment process held through advertisement number 1/VSA/2017. The recruitment which had begun in July 2017 has witnessed decrease in the vacancy number as notified in a recent update. Now, the total number of vacancies is 2523 against 2662 vacancies notified earlier. Contrary to 260 stenographer and 2402 office assistant posts notified earlier, the vacancy number is 227 stenographer post and 2296 office assistant post. Recruitment to these posts was notified by the Corporation previous year through advt 11/VSA/2016; the last date for which was 11 January 2017. The job notification, then, mentioned about 2296 office assistant posts and 259 stenographer. However UPPCL cancelled the recruitment on 20 July 2017.

Candidates who have applied for the recruitment through both the job notifications are suggested not to apply again. The Corporation states to accept the previous applications.

UPPCL will begin online registration process for the recruitment of Junior Engineers on 8 October 2017 for a total of 226 vacancies. Vacancies are open in electrical discipline. Candidates with Diploma in Electrical Engineering are eligible to apply for the posts. Out of the total vacancies, 116 are open for unreserved category. The last date for submission of applications is 31 October 2017. The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held in third week of November 2017; exact date will be given by UPPCL in due course of time.
