Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotions Board (UPPRPB) has cancelled the second slot offline exam held on June 18-19 for Constable recruitment. The reason, the Board states is that at many centers the question paper meant for second session was distributed in the first session. As per reports more than 10 lakh candidates shall have to reappear for the exam, dates of which will be announced later by the Board.

Answer key challenge process has been done for the exam. Soon after the exams were completed, the Board released the answer keys and sought objections from candidates.

The selection process for the posts would include a written test, document verification and physical standard test, and physical fitness test. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks scored in the written test by candidates who qualify in the physical fitness test.

The Board had notified the recruitment in January 2018 for more than 40000 posts. There are 23,520 vacancies for Civil and 18000 vacancies for PAC Constables (only for male applicants). The recruitment will be at pay band 5200 - 20200 grade pay - 2000.
