UPPSC Seeks Applications For 718 Lecturer Posts, Know More

New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has invited applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to 718 posts of Lecturer in in 29 Subjects in Government Degree Colleges under the Department of Higher Education U.P. Candidates should note that the Commission has released a corrigendum against an earlier advertisement and subsequently added 310 posts in different subjects. Earlier in a job notification dated 17 March 2017, the Commission had notified for 408 vacancies in in government colleges for the post of Lecturer. Changes have been made to it. 'Meanwhile certain new requisitions for the post of Lecturer in certain new subjects and pre-advertised subjects have also been received from Government. In addition to this certain posts of Lecturers carried forward from previous selections have to be re-advertised,' says the Commission.

Candidates with postgraduate degree in the concerned subject can apply for the post. 'A relaxation shall be admissible from 55% to 50% of the marks at the Masters level for the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/ Differently- abled (physically and visually differently abled)/ Other Backward Classes (OBC) (non-creamy layer) categories.

A relaxation of 5% shall be admissible from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. degree holders who have passed their Master's degree prior to 19th September 1991,' reads the official notification.

Candidates can apply for the post on or before 24 November 2017. However the last date for depositing the application fee in the Bank is 21 November 2017.

In order to apply for these posts, candidates must have knowledge of Hindi.
