UPSC ESE Admit Card Released, Check Details At Upsc.gov.in
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the exam conducting body for Engineering Services Exam (ESE) has released admit card for the prelims. Admit card has been released at the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in. For downloading, the same, candidates shall have to login at the portal upsconline.nic.in. Currently, the website is under maintenance and candidates shall have to wait till 2 pm to download the admit card. As per an update given by the Commission, the website will remain inactive from 10 am to 2pm on 12 December 2017.
UPSC will conduct the ESE Prelims on 7 January 2018 for selecting candidates against 588 vacancies. The exam will be conducted in 42 cities nationwide. 'Applicants should note that there will be a ceiling on the number of candidates allotted to each of the centres except Chennai, Delhi, Dispur, Kolkata and Nagpur. Allotment of Centres will be on the first apply first allot basis and once the capacity of a particular centre is attained, the same will be frozen,' it said.
UPSC conducts ESE every year and recruitment is made to civil, mechanical, electrical and electronics & telecommunications engineering. Final result for ESE 2017 was declared on 11 September 2017 and a total of 500 candidates were recommended for appointment to various Ministries and Department based on the main exam and interview performance.
