UPSC ESE, IES/ ISS, Combined Geo-Scientist & Geologist Exam Update
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a major update regarding the forthcoming
Engineering Services (Main) Exam 2017,
Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service Exam 2017 and
Combined Geo-Scientist and Geologist Exam 2017. Candidates, who are going to appear for the exam can find details of the update below.
The Commission has announced that, for all the examinations mentioned above a consolidated Question cum Answer Booklet (QCAB) will be introduced. The Commission will substitute the QCAB with separate question paper and answer booklet.
How will it be different for an examinee?Candidates, who have already appeared for the examination, should let go of the previous year practice; as the pattern will be different this time. Below each part (sub part) of a question space will be provided. Candidates will be required to answer the question within that space only. In the official notification, the Commission states that, "Candidates should note that instead of separate Question Paper and Answer Book, a consolidated Question-cum-Answer Booklet (QCAB) having space below each part/sub part of a question shall be provided to them for writing the answers for the examinations mentioned above. Candidates shall be required to attempt answer to the part/sub-part of a question strictly within the pre-defined space. Any attempt outside the pre-defined space shall not be evaluated."
