Kanpur:
Three persons have been arrested in Kanpur for murdering their friend for ransom in neighbouring Ramabainagar district, police said on Tuesday.
Ashu (15) had gone with his friends Sonu, Rishu and Anuj but did not return home till late last night, SSP Dayanand Mishra said.
On being informed by Ashu's parents, police interrogated his friends who told that they had kidnapped him for ransom but later killed him out of fear and threw his body in a lake.
Police have recovered his body and sent it for post-mortem.
