Kanpur:
Bodies of an elderly woman and two men were today found inside a leather workshop in the city's Gwaltoli area.
Owner Kamran found the bodies of the woman, said to be around 55-years-old, and the two men in their thirties with their throats slit, Kanpur SSP Yashaswi Yadav said.
The workshop was locked and its caretaker Rashid was nowhere to be seen when Kamran came by the place this morning.
He tried to contact the worker on his mobile phone but it was switched off after which he entered the place after breaking the lock.
Although police said they were yet to identify the deceased, locals claimed the woman's body was that of Rashid's mother and the other two victims could be his brothers.
The SSP added that they were looking for Rashid and were also trying to get in touch with his family members for help with the identification of the bodies.
Police were on the lookout for two persons in connection with the case, Yadav said.
