3 medical students attempt suicide for fear of failing in exam
Kanpur: Three medical students at the government-run Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Medical College tried to commit suicide by consuming poison on Friday night.

All three students Vivek Gautam, Shobhit and Sanjeev Kumar are second year MBBS students at the medical college. They have been admitted to the ICU in Halet hospital and their condition is critical.

A suicide note recovered from the students hostel room, said the fear of failing in biochemistry drove them to committing suicide.  

In the note the students, who were Dalits, accused one of their teachers of making casteist remarks.
