Lucknow:
A crude bomb exploded at Kanpur Railway Station on Tuesday afternoon sparking panic but no one was injured, police said.
A second crude bomb was defused by the bomb disposal squad, IGP (Law and Order) B P Singh told reporters in Lucknow.
The crude device went off near platform number eight, he said.
A ragpicker picked up an object from a garbage dump near the water cooler and threw it on the ground, the IGP said.
The bomb-like object went off triggering panic among commuters but no one was injured, he said.
Prima facie it appeared to be a mischievous act, the IGP said.
