Deputy jailer dies of heart attack

Kanpur: A deputy jailer in the district prison today died following a cardiac arrest, police said.

Sarvendra Vikram Singh (41), a resident of Hardoi, was on inspection when he suffered the heart attack, Jail Superintendent R N Pandey said, adding he died on way to the hospital.

Singh was suffering from a heart ailment and was under treatment for the last few days, he added.
