Kanpur:
A farmer had a miraculous escape after remaining buried into a 40 feet deep borewell for five hours in the district.
The incident took place last evening in Nayakhera village in Maharajpur when Kishori Lal descended into the well to repair his tubewell, police said today.
Suddenly he slipped and was trapped under a pile of earth. Initially, villagers tried to rescue him but informed the police when failed, they said.
Police called in the fire brigade which extricated him almost after five hours.
Kishori suffered injuries in his head and legs. He was admitted to the Hallet Hospital and his condition was stated to be out of danger, police said.
