Kanpur:
A minor, who was allegedly gangraped by three men in Kanpur on Saturday, attempted suicide today by consuming hair dye.
She has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Ursula hospital in the city.
The class XI student was allegedly gangraped by her neighbour Rajiv and his friends in the cantonment area of Kanpur.
According to the police, Rajiv lured the victim by saying that his mother was asking for her help as she was unwell. The victim claims that Rajiv took her to an unknown place where two of his friends were already waiting for them. The three men then allegedly raped the girl repeatedly and threatened to kill her if she complained to the police.
The victim told her parents about the incident, who later lodged a complaint at the cantonment police station.
A case of rape has been registered and the police have launched search operations for the three men.
