Kanpur:
Six private hospitals in Kanpur were issued notices by the Pollution Control Board (PCB) today on charges of not disposing medical waste properly.
These hospitals are asked to mend their ways in 15 days or else they will bear the consequences, a PCB official said.
Other hospitals are also being inspected and similar action will follow if it is found that they were also flouting the norms, he said.
Bio-medical wastes should be grouped in ten different categories before disposal, the official said.
