Kanpur:
Eight MA girl students were in for a surprise when the Examination Entry Verification Form had photographs of the top Bollywood actresses and former Pakistani cricketer Imran Khan.
The authorities at Ram Manohar Lohiya College initially did not allow the girls to sit in an examination of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, but after protests, these students were allowed to take the test.
According to the Raebareli students, when they were asked to sign the verification form while taking MA part I Sociology test last evening, they noticed that instead of their photographs, the document was carrying pictures of the celebrities.
The form was carrying pictures of actresses Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor, Sonal Chouhan (two places) and Bhuimika Chawla and former Pakistan captain Imran Khan.
Initially, authorities did not allow the students to take the test as photographs in their admit card and verification form did not match but after protests, college staff conceded and allowed them sit in the examination.
University Vice Chancellor Harsh Kumar Sehgal confirmed the incident and told PTI that he has asked the college to give a reply that how this happened and why they allowed the students to appear in the examination when their admit cards were not verified.
He said the matter will be probed and strict action will be taken against those responsible.
