Kanpur:
A 20-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide after being threatened by her sister-in-law of implicating her in a case of dowry harassment, police said in Kanpur today.
The woman allegedly hanged self in her room yesterday, police said.
A suicide note has been recovered in which she has blamed her sister-in-law and her relatives for her suicide, police said.
The note alleged that the sister-in-law used to threaten the victim and other family members that she would implicate them in a dowry harassment case if they asked her to do household works, police said.
No arrest has been made so far and family members are being questioned, police said.
