As many as 12 persons have died in a head-on collision between a mini-truck carrying them and a lorry on a national highway near Chitradurga in Karnataka today, police said.
The victims, including a woman, were heading back home after taking part in 'Bhajans' at a temple in the early hours of Friday when the incident happened near Chikkagondanahalli.
All the 12 persons died on the spot, police added.
An investigation is currently under way.
