Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has identified 20 quarry pits in the city where public can dump garbage.
A press release from Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike said that commissioner M K Shankaralinge Gowda has warned against dumping garbage on road, which is disturbing vehicle movement. He has warned that action will be taken against those who dump garbage on roads, vacant sites and old buildings.
Though Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike had earlier told the city dwellers, not to dump garbage on road, it still continues. Now, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike has identified 20 quarry pits, where public can dump garbage.
This includes Haraluru in K R Puram, Bettadasapura, Vittasandra, Hongasandra, Bellalli in Yelahanka, Kogilu, Srinivasapura, Guddadahalli in Hessaraghatta, Dasenahalli, Tarahunuse, Bettahalasuru, Kadiganahalli, Bagaluru, Marenahalli, Marasandra and Mallasandra in Yeshwantpur.
People are requested to dump garbage on these plots.
