Bangalore: Three persons were nabbed for allegedly killing an advocate from Tamil Nadu and dumping his body into a canal river near Mandya, police said.
Yeshwant, Girish and Junaid had allegedly posed as clients seeking legal help before bringing the advocate, a criminal lawyer, from Tiruppur in Tamil Nadu to Karnataka on Feb 11, police said.
On their way to Mysore, the accused had killed the advocate and looted Rs 1 lakh in cash, his car and credit card before dumping the body into a Canal near Mandya, police said.
The accused were traced by Tiruppur police, with the help of Cubbon Park police, after the trio used the slain advocate's credit card, police said.
The car and cash robbed by them were recovered and the arrested were taken to Tirupur for questioning.
