Mysore: A four-member family had a miraculous escape when passers-by rescued them after the car in whichthey were travelling plunged into the Mandakalli lake on the city outskirts.
Police said they were returning to the city from Nanjangud after offering worship at a temple when the mishap occurred.
The driver lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid a bus and the car rolled into the lake.
People rescued all the inmates, police said.
