Bengaluru:
24 hours after they jumped from a helicopter into a reservoir in Karnataka, two actors are feared dead with emergency and rescue experts unable to locate them.
A case of culpable homicide has been filed against the producers of the film that the men were shooting for: they were not wearing life-vests, did not know how to swim, and a motorboat that was to collect them and bring them to safety was not working.
The star of the film, Duniya Vijay, performed the same stunt, and managed to swim to shore.
But co-stars Anil Verma and Raghav Uday disappeared in the backwaters of the TG Halli dam, located on the outskirts of tech hub Bengaluru.
Footage showed the three men jumping from a height of about 30 feet and surfacing in the water after a few seconds.
The crew was shooting the climax scene of regional Kannada film "Maastigudi".
Officials who are in charge of the reservoir say that the shooting took place in an unauthorized part of the dam and that the filming permit's conditions were violated.
