Bangalore: An auto rickshaw driver was robbed of his auto and other valuables worth about Rs 50,000 by two unidentified miscreants, who boarded his auto as passengers.
The incident took place on Sumanahalli fly-over in Kamakshipalya on Monday. The victim Rangaswamy, 31, resides near Kebbehalli bus stop in Sunkadakatte.
According to the police, Rangaswamy was waiting near Govardhan Theatre in Yeshwantpur for passengers on Monday night. Two unidentified men approached him and said they wanted to go to Sumanahalli and boarded the auto. When the auto was on Sumanahalli flyover, one of them asked Rangaswamy to stop the auto to attend nature's call.
After he stopped, the duo threatened him at knife point and took away his wrist watch, mobile phone and Rs 500 cash. They fled in his auto.
