Bengaluru: Rain and thundershowers would occur at most places in coastal Karnataka today, a meteorological department official said.
The Meteorological Department advised fishermen to refrain from venturing into the sea as strong winds reaching up to speeds of 45 to 55 km per hour are likely to hit the coast.
Bengaluru city will witness a generally cloud sky with the possibility of rain in some places, the official added. Traces of rainfall was recorded in the city on Wednesday.
The maximum temperature in the capital today would hover around 30 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature would be around 20 degrees Celsius.
On Wednesday, Bengaluru recorded a maximum temperature of 28.6 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average while the minimum temperature matched the season's average at 20.2 degrees Celsius.
