Bangalore: Police today claimed to have foiled an attempt to murder a businessman with the arrest of a six member gang, including his former employee.
The employee, dismissed from service for misconduct, had hatched the plan to rob the businessman along with another criminal, serving time in jail and five other criminals, wanted in many cases, police said.
The man hit upon the idea on learing that his former employer used to carry cash back to his residence each night.
A car, lethal weapons and three mobile phones were seized from the gang, they said.
