Bangalore:
Sixty-five people were arrested and stolen articles worth Rs 2.27 crore recovered over the last one month, a top police official said on Friday.
The recovered articles included Rs 47 lakh in cash, three kg gold worth Rs 72 lakh, 17 kg silver worth Rs 9.18 lakh and 67 two-wheelers worth Rs 30 Lakh, Bangalore city commissioner Jyothi Prakash Mirji told reporters here today.
Police also recovered two three-wheelers worth Rs three lakh, seven four-wheelers worth Rs 21 lakh and two laptops, 12 mobile phones and other electronic gadgets.
The cases were reported in Basavanagudi, Kumaraswamy Layout, Chamarajpet, Subramanyapura, J P Nagar, Girinagar, Chamarajpet and Hanumanthanagar police station limts, he said.
With these arrests various cases including one murder, 10 chain-snatchings and 94 cases pf theft have been solved, Mirji said.
