Bagalkot: Over 100 students fell ill after taking mid-day meals at a Government Primary School in Udagatti village, police said.
However, timely treatment by doctors helped the students to recover from food poisoning, hospital sources said.
According to police, students studying in the eighth standard complained of severe stomach ache and started tovomit after partaking the mid day meals served in the school.
The students were immediately rushed to a Primary Health Centre and Bagalkot district hospital and administered treatment.
Meanwhile, according to official sources three cooking staff of the school has been kept under suspension for"negligence of duty" and disciplinary action has been recommended against the teachers who were directed tosupervise the cooking of meals.
