Bangalore:
Two women were arrested on charges of selling a three-year-old girl child for Rs 5,000 in Chikaballapur district.
The two have been remanded to judicial custody, police said, adding one man, a co-accused in the case, is absconding.
The duo sold the child to another woman in Gudibande, about 70 km away from bangalore, police said.
The child's mother in a complaint to police alleged that her kid was "forcibly" taken away by the two women and the man following a personal dispute.
The child's father is undergoing sentence in connection with a murder case, police said.
