Thiruvananthapuram: Congress President Sonia Gandhi and party vice president Rahul Gandhi would campaign for the party-led ruling UDF candidates in Kerala next week as electioneering for May 16 Assembly elections in the state enters the final stretch.
The Congress chief would address two election meetings in Thrissur and Thiruvananthapurm on May 9, Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee President VM Sudheeran said today.
She would arrive at Nedumbassery airport in Kochi at 3 pm and would proceed for Thrissur to address the meeting. Later, she would address a rally before leaving for Delhi.
Rahul Gandhi will address six meetings during his two-day election tour beginning on May 11.
He would be addressing meetings at Kayamkulam (Alapuzha), Nedumkandam (Idukki) and Angamaly in Ernakulam district. Before leaving for Delhi from Mangaluru, the Congress Vice-President would address poll meetings at Pattambi, Purameri in Kozhikode district and Uduma in Kasargod on May 12, Mr Sudheeran said.
