In another case of political violence in Kerala, a BJP worker was attacked allegedly by CPI-M workers in the district on Wednesday night, police said.
25-year-old Navneeth was injured in the attack at Pathiriyad at Koothuparambu near Kannur and was rushed to a hospital in Thalassery, police said.
BJP alleged CPI-M activists were behind the attack.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday evening police seized two bombs at Pallikunnu in the heart of Kannur, which has been witnessing sporadic clashes between CPI-M and BJP workers since the assembly elections in May last this year.
A 'steel' bomb and an 'ice cream' bomb (explosives stuffed inside ice cream ball) were unearthed during a search conducted in the compound of a locked house following information that ganja was kept there.
