BJP Worker Hacked To Death In Kerala, Parents Injured

Sujith, 27, was killed by the CPM, the party claimed on Twitter.

A young BJP worker in Kerala was killed after a group of at least 15 people broke into his home last night in Kannur.

The BJP on its Twitter account said Sujith, 27, was "hacked to death" and his parents are seriously injured.

The police is questioning eight suspects, reported to be sympathizers of the CPI(M) and a case of murder has been filed against them.

Sujith's parents and brother were harmed when they tried to protect him from the attackers. He died en route to hospital.

Kannur, in Northern Kerala  has emerged into a bloody conflict zone between the RSS and the CPM, with murders and revenge killings abutting attempts by both parties to appropriate large chunks of each other's cadres.

A senior CPM leader from Kannur, P Jayarajan, has been accused of the murder in 2014 of E Manoj, a local leader of the RSS, which is the BJP's ideological parent. E Manoj, himself was an accused in an attempt to murder case. He was involved in an attempt to kill P Jayarajan.
