A car was damaged in the explosion in Kerala's Malappuram

Malappuram: A blast in a car took place in Malappuram in northern Kerala this afternoon, about 360 km from the state capital of Thiruvananthapuram. Nobody was injured.

The car was damaged in the explosion at the headquarters of the local administration, which belongs to a medical officer. It was parked near a court located within the government compound.

"We are investigating what caused the explosion. We have recovered a black box near from the near the car where the explosion took place," said a senior police officer to NDTV, adding that early evidence suggests "a pressure cooker was used for the explosion".
