Thiruvananthapuram: The body of 18-month old girl, who drowned in a bucket of water at the Child Welfare Centre here yesterday, was cremated at the Thycaud electric crematorium here today.
A post-mortem on the body was conducted earlier by a team of doctors including forensic surgeon at the medical college hospital.
Three ayahs' at the child welfare centre, who were on duty at the time of the tragedy, had been suspended pending investigation into the incident, official sources said.
The District Collector, who is also the chairman of the society, has ordered a probe into the incident.
