Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) chief Jacob Thomas has complained to police that his official phone was being tapped and emails snooped upon, an official said.

Thomas, who holds the rank of Director General of Police, on Friday filed a complaint with Kerala Police chief (Law and Order) Loknath Behra demanding that a probe be initiated into the matter.

Mr Behra, who is out of the state capital on official work, said that he will look into the matter.

"Right now, I am unable to say anything regarding this," said Mr Behra.

Mr Thomas was appointed VACB director by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on May 25 - the very day the latter was sworn in - and ever since the official has been the centre of attention.
