Banking sources have ensured that they will take all necessary steps to refill the currency in ATMs..

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala government has asked the State Level Bankers Committee to ensure availability of currency stock at respective ATMs in the wake of five continuous bank holidays in the state.

State has intervened in the matter through the committee and instructions have been given to controlling officers of all banks to refill the ATMs if they ran out of cash, an official release said.

Meanwhile, banking sources said they would conduct checks in ATMs and take necessary steps to refill the currency.

Banks in the state are closed since yesterday till September 14, due to the Onam festival and Eid.
