Thiruvananthapuram: A man has been arrested in Kerala's Malappuram district for allegedly raping two minor sisters, who are six and ten years old.
The two girls along with their mother used to live near the accused's house. While the mother would be away working as a domestic help, the accused would bring the girls home, luring them with chocolates, according to the police.
The girls were repeatedly raped by the accused, who is in his mid-forties, and threatened of dire consequences if they informed anyone, police said.
The children have been sent into protective care after their mother complained.
This comes just a day after seven men were arrested for allegedly raping a minor Dalit girl studying in class 10.
