Thiruvananthapuram: A 46 second video shows a young man in Kerala being beaten repeatedly with sticks by four other men; hours later, he died in hospital, the horrific result of a gang-war in a village near the state capital of Thiruvanthapuram, according to the police.
The assault took place on Sunday evening near a railway crossing on an offshoot of a main road. The man who died has been identified as “Shabeer” by the police.
The police is not saying anything about the person who filmed the video and who is reportedly the only eye witness of the murder. The police says that passersby saw the beating and phoned them for help; they also drove Shabeer to hospital where he was in critical condition till he died yesterday.
All the four attackers caught on camera have been arrested.
