Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today said naming the International Airport at Nedumbassry in Kochi after K Karunakaran, who was a Congress leader and former Chief Minister, was under the cosideration of the government.
Speaking at a function on the fifth death anniversay of Karunakaran, Mr Chandy said Nedumbassery International airport, the first in PPP mode, was one of the major contribution of the late chief minister to the state and nation.
It was not only an eye opener to the state, but to whole nation, he added.
