Kolkata: An Delhi-bound Air India flight from Hong Kong, with nearly 154 passengers onboard, made an emergency landing at Kolkata airport this evening after the pilot detected a snag in the engine of the aircraft.

The snag-hit Boeing 787-800 (Dreamliner) plane is now grounded at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, sources said.

An Air India spokesperson in Delhi said that the aircraft made a precautionary landing at around 2015 hours, and all passengers have been deplaned safely.
